They almost always have a footprint of over 10,000 square feet of space, usually offer decent walk-in service, and are often warehouse-like locations where people go to find products in boxes with very aggressive pricing, but little support. Chain stores and computer superstores: these include major chains such as CompUSA, Best Buy, Future Shop, etc.Their service and support are not usually very good, and their prices are normally higher than those at larger stores. Many are old-fashioned (1980s-style) computer stores that offer relatively few reasons for buyers to shop with them.
Computer dealers: storefront computer resellers, usually less than 5,000 square feet, often focused on a few main brands of hardware, usually offering only a minimum of software and variable amounts of service and support.
